Briggs will be on the Alternate Schedule for the week of January 11-15, 2021. As a reminder, Red Group students attend on Monday/Tuesday and Black Group students attend on Thursday/Friday. At this time, we need everyone to follow the alternate schedule (no four day attendance) to assist us in providing for the health and safety of students and staff. Due to the concern with increased COVID-19 virus spread, we strongly encourage you to keep your children at home if possible. As you are most likely aware, COVID cases, hospitalizations, and deaths continue to increase at an alarming level.
We will be providing five-day meal boxes on Monday, January 11, for those students on the virtual format. Meals can be picked up at the gym lobby from 9:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. Delivery of meals is also available. Please contact the school on Monday if you need to set up a delivery.
As a reminder, students should not attend school if they are sick or have any COVID-19 symptoms. It would also be advisable for students to stay home if they have attended any group gatherings in recent days outside of the immediate household. Thank you for your understanding and please stay safe!
Welcome Briggs Families!! This year will start with new procedures/protocols and we would like to highlight a few of those for you.
Attached is our Daily COVID-19 School Attendance Questionnaire. We ask that each day before sending your child to school you go over these questions. If the answer to any of these questions is “yes”, please contact our front office 918-456-4221 ext. 100.
We ask that you DO NOT send students to school if they are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms. Students arriving at school with symptoms will be sent home immediately.
Masks are required to be worn on buses and before entering any school building. If students do not have a mask, one will be provided. We ask that you be diligent in keeping up with your mask. We encourage families, when possible, to drop off and pick up students personally. We understand this is not always an option and have planned accordingly. Buses will have assigned seating and will be socially distanced grouped by families.
No parents will be allowed in buildings. When you drop off or pick up your child we ask that you stay in your car.
Morning drop off: PK/K will be dropped off at the Cafeteria steps. All other students will be dropped off at their building (1-4 in the elementary building and 5-8 in the main building).
Parent Pick-Up: Buses will be loaded first. Personal vehicles will be held at the campus entrance by the cafeteria until the buses have left. After the buses have left parent pick up will begin; again, we ask you to remain in your car. ALL students will be picked up by their building. Staff will be directing traffic.
Virtual students may pick up meals daily at the upper gymnasium 9:30-10:30 a.m. Please remain in your car and pull to the gymnasium doors where staff will assist you.
We appreciate your help and cooperation with these procedures as we work to keep students and staff safe and healthy.
