Dear Briggs 3rd- 8th Grade Athletic families,
On Wednesday, Oct. 2nd beginning at 5:30 PM, there will be a parent meeting held in the upper gym. All 3rd- 8th grade families of students in PE and athletics are encouraged to attend. Many of you know that we will not be having the Briggs Basketball League this year. This was our biggest fundraiser for the PE/athletics program. This year we are going to try a different fundraiser that requires no selling on your part and is very easy to do. We will be receiving 80% of the profits from this program. The parent meeting on the 2nd will go over all the details of this new fundraising program.
Notes were previously sent home with our PE and Athletics students. If you didn’t receive the note or haven’t had a chance to fill out the information needed, do so at your quickest convenience before our meeting today. A link has been provided below. The monies raised will help purchase uniforms, pay entry fees, pay for meals when the team travels long distances, and for new PE/athletic equipment. We are also adding soccer as a sport at Briggs this year, so the money raised will also help purchase equipment and uniforms needed for this.
If you will, please fill out this Google form before our meeting today, we would greatly appreciate it! If you have a sibling in 3rd - 8th, please use the oldest athlete’s phone number as the number to use on the Google form but put both of your names on the “First Name” portion of the Google form (For example: First name: Seth & Jake, Last name: Burgess)
https://forms.gle/1Bc2YEFGQHzNRZPa7
Please come to the meeting on Oct. 2nd and learn how to help us make money to provide the students at Briggs School with the equipment they need for PE and athletics.
Thank you,
Briggs School Athletic Dept.
