This past Saturday (1/17), our Briggs Archery Team participated in the Salina Archery Tournament!
The students had a great time and were excited to continue learning and improving their skills. As a brand-new program, we look forward to watching our archery team grow and achieve great things in the future.
We are deeply grateful for the grant we received from the Cherokee Nation for helping make this program possible, Wado! We also want to extend our sincere thanks to Cosby Law Firm for generously sponsoring our team’s entry fee.

On Saturday, January 17th, 2026 we held our 2nd Annual Briggs Big Bot Robotics Tournament. The tournament was a tremendous success and it would not have been possible without the incredible support of our volunteers, parents, coaches and community partners. Our team, Banana Botz, won the Teamwork Champion Award which qualifies them for the State Competition! Congratulations to Naomi Cobb, Maverick White, Cynch Murphy, Ben Walker and Davis Whitney!
With 46 teams in attendance, the day was filled with innovation, teamwork, and excitement. It truly showcased the power of collaboration and community.
We extend a heartfelt thank you to Codey Poindexter and all of our parents and volunteers who gave their time, energy and support to help everything run smoothly. Your dedication made a lasting impact on our students and guests.
Mrs. Davenport sends a special shout out to our own Ms. Hicks, Briggs Teachers, amazing coaches from Stillwater, Brinks, and Tahlequah who stepped up to assist throughout the tournament. Your willingness to jump in and help wherever needed truly exemplified teamwork at its best.
Thank you to our generous donors who helped make our hospitality room and photo area possible. Your support helped create a welcoming and memorable experience for everyone:
