Our 5th and 6th grade boys won the Championship Game in the Keys tournament. They beat Grandview 27-11. Congratulations!

November is Native American Heritage month. Traditional wear on Wednesdays (skirts, ribbon shirts, vests, tear dresses, regalia, etc.)

Student Council news:
Student Council is sponsoring a food drive. Please donate any non-perishable food items. Food items will be collected until November 19th. All items collected will be put into food boxes and distributed to families in our community.

Academic Team:
Academic testing competition Wednesday, Nov. 12th at Zion. Academic team practice Wednesday 3:30-5:00 in Ms. Ashlock's room.
Academic competition on Friday, Nov. 14th vs Peggs. Match will be at Briggs and begin at 9:00

Chess Club news:
Chess Club will meet Wednesday from 3:20-4:00 pm for ALL grades in the MS Breakfast room

7th/8th: Maryetta Festival Nov. 10th-14th:
Today., Nov. 10th: Girls play Rocky Mountain at 6:00 and boys play
Rocky Mountain at 7:00. If they win, they will play Tuesday at 6:00 (G) & 7:00 (B). If they lose, they will play Wednesday at 1:00 & 2:00.

5th/6th: Keys Tournament Nov.. 10th-13th
Today, Nov. 10th: Girls play Keys at 4:30 and the boys will play Keys at 5:15. If they win, they will play Tuesday at 6:00 (G) and 6:45 (B). If they lose, they will play Wednesday at 4:30 (G) and 5:15 (B).

Tyler Shockley's Real Estate Agency located on 117 West Morgan Street in Tahlequah, is giving back to local community schools, non-profit organizations, youth programs, etc. With every real estate closing, they draw for a deserving recipient and donate $100 to them. They are passionate about helping as many different organizations as possible.

Briggs School was one of the winners of the drawing known as the "Giving Game". We greatly appreciate their thoughtfulness and the joy they had on their faces when they presented the donation to us! Thank you for your generosity!!!

ATTENTION!!!

All 3rd-8th Grade students and PARENTS need to attend the BRIGGS ATHLETIC FUNDRAISER Thursday, Nov. 6th @ 5:30 p.m. in the upper gym.

TeamFunded is a PROVEN fundraising program where the students share a link from the App to their parents contacts (30 total) and we will receive donations through the app. I, Coach Williams, have used this program at other schools and when everyone sends out the link, the response is incredible.

WE NEED NEW EQUIPMENT FOR ALL OF OUR SPORTS TEAMS!

PLEASE make arrangements to attend 5:30 p.m.

Our Veterans Day Program will be on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at 8:15 a.m. If you have a Veteran you would like us to invite, please contact Ms. Hicks at (918) 456-4221 ext. 107 with their contact information. Coffee and Molly's FAMOUS cinnamon rolls will be available for our Veterans.
The Presentation of Colors will be performed by Tahlequah’s JROTC Color Guard led by Major Lewis. Our 4th graders will be performing 2 songs and an 8th grade student has written a special poem for our Veterans. Everyone is welcome to join us for this meaningful event.
We look forward to showing our Veterans our gratitude for their service!

We appreciate your concerns! An ambulance was at Briggs. The individual is stable and is on their way to the hospital. The ambulance was not here for any of the students. Thank you for caring about your community!

Our Fall Carnival is November 7th from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Please join us for a fun evening! Proceeds go toward each class or organization sponsoring a booth!

Red Ribbon Week is October 27th - 31st. Together let's raise awareness about the dangers of alcohol, tobacco, other drug use and violence!

The 3rd and 4th grade basketball away team can stay afterschool on Monday (10/27). The bus will leave around 5:15 p.m. All students will need to ride the bus, even if they leave and come back. On Tuesday (10/28), the bus will be leaving around 3:15 p.m. Students will eat an afterschool snack and then load the bus.

The away team will have limited time in the home games due to the number of games being played on Monday and Tuesday.
