Briggs Public School Robotics Teams promote applying real-world application of science, engineering, computer science, and mathematics experience while competing in a new and different way. Students develop people skills, team skills, and foster teamwork and communication skills. By practicing in the after school program, students design and build a robot to compete in the VEX IQ challenge for the school year. They document the process thoroughly while making modifications and additions to their designs. The students then work on programming skills by programming their robots to drive both via a student driver with paired remote and autonomously. Student teamwork and collaboration are paramount to our program's success. The end result provides us with a highly competitive and ever growing program that has shown great growth and success while traveling to VEX IQ competitions around the state.
