Our Middle School students participated in the Cherokee Bowl on October 23rd in Tahlequah, OK. In preparation for this event, students researched and reviewed facts previously learned in their Cherokee Culture Class. Students also utilized their background knowledge of traditions and teachings from the Cherokee elders in their own homes. Topics included Cherokee history, traditional foods, traditional dress and even knowing facts about Principal Chief Chuck Hoskin Jr., Deputy Principal Chief Bryan Warner and the Council Members of the Cherokee Nation. We appreciate First Baptist Church for housing this event and welcoming our future leaders to use their facility. Great job to everyone that participated!!!

The away team will have limited time in the home games due to the number of games being played on Monday and Tuesday.
We have a recycling bin for hay wrap and twine located north of the old gym, by the old softball field. We appreciate your help in participating in this project to keep pastures clean, protect wildlife and save on costly equipment repairs! We also have the opportunity of winning a cash prize for our school if we collect the largest weight amount!

5th-8th grade girls: Powder Puff sign up forms are in the front office. The Powder Puff game will take place November 4th.
The Briggs Braves football season ended Tuesday night at Liberty versus Brushy. The final score was 32 to 26. After falling behind 8-0 early, Briggs scored two touchdowns behind Gavyn Walker and Jaxon Crow’s touchdown runs putting Briggs up 14-8. Brushy made it 16-14 Then Gavyn Walker threw a touchdown pass to Jaxon Crow To excite the crowd and give Briggs a 20 to 16 lead. Brushy would answer with a touchdown right before the half making it 24-20.
In the 2nd half brushy drove the ball down and scored after a long drive giving them a commanding 32-20 lead. Crow would score on the option run to cut the lead to 32-26. Briggs would get the ball back with less than two minutes only to throw an interception to end their season. Great effort by Tate Vann, Colin Rhodes, Jean Mathis, and Brayden Gruber. Thank you to everyone that came out to support the Braves this season.
