Reminder: Open gym will be available on June 5th and June 6th from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. This will be for our 2025 -2026, 7th and 8th grade Briggs Basketball players.

Members of our Cheer Squad were able to participate in a stunt camp on Tuesday, June 3rd. These students learned basic tumbling skills as well as building pyramids. They had a blast! We appreciate Russ Turner and State Athletics for this awesome opportunity!!!

We have partnered with Cherokee Capital Blue Star Mothers to help provide items for troop boxes to be sent to deployed military. Our students have been participating by writing letters and coloring patriotic art work. We would like to add to our participation by donating gum, suckers and/or hard candy. If you would like to help with these items for the troop boxes, please bring them by the front office. Tuesday, May 6th at 6:00 p.m. Aprons & Lace OHCE group is hosting Cherokee storyteller, Robert Lewis, at the Cherokee County Livestock Arena (by the county jail). Matt Anderson will also be demonstrating a craft that everyone in attendance will be able to make and take home. This event is open to all ages. Everyone is welcome!

Our Gifted and Talented students participated in a Designation at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma on May 2nd and May 3rd, 2025. Our students met Dr. Tom Furness, the Grandfather of Virtual Reality. Students created Native American themed virtual reality museums through the use of a program called SketchUp. They were then able to tour their museum through VR headsets. Students also learned about 3D scanning! The students had a blast! We are very thankful for this opportunity! 8th Grade Awards Ceremony


Today was Principal's Day. We appreciate Ms. Supernaw and Ms. Feary for their commitment and dedication to our school! Student Council recognized our principals, admin and office staff with a beautiful cake. Thank you Student Council!

The 3rd - 4th grade track meet scheduled for Tuesday, April 30th at Woodall has been cancelled due to the weather.
